Blog Post #3 - Happiness! & Fan-Fiction ~

Aha. But seriously, hey guys!~ Now, I know I haven't had a chance to post in a while, gomenasai! But I'm back, temporarily, to update a few things, add some new lyrics, update the personal blog, etc. Just to let everyone know that I am actually, still active on this blog. In fact, I do check it most days, to make sure I don't have any issues to deal with. eg. grammatical errors, etc. Which, I've actually spotted a few so far tonight, which have been fixed... And, I was looking through all the boring stats and such earlier on today... (They're boring for you, because nobody really cares about that, but to me, they're very important! *nods*) And I came across some statistics that made me quite happy... And I'm willing to share those with you, so I've added a picture somewhere in this post, which should be self explanatory, really. But, in-case it isn't, I'll tell you now what it is that's made me so happy...  Page Views. According to my stats, I've had over 1,000 of them since I first started this blog, which actually wasn't that long ago. And, what's got me most excited is the countries that most of these page views have come from... The USA, UK and Japan! This has made me stupidly happy, because they're such major countries, and there's so many page views from each of the three, along with a lot of others. And, it's just made me ridiculously happy. You guys probably don't care, at all. But to me, this is a HUGE deal. I feel so loved. *sniffle* :3

So happy, you guys. Thank-you so much!~

Moving on, the next thing I wanted to talk about was... Fan-Fiction, possibly the best creation known to man. Or rather, the best creation known to my BlackBerry. Now, I'll admit, I'm not overly fond of my phone. In fact, one might say that I despise the god-damn thing. However, the one thing that makes me keep this phone, is the Wattpad app. Yes, they have a website, but no, I do not use the website, unless I'm posting my own fanfics, which I'm unable to do through the app. But seriously, this application is the easiest thing to use, ever. It's so brilliant and yet, so simple. And personally, I prefer to read my Fan-Fiction using the app, not the website. Because, it's portable, and something about the smaller screen and dimmed-lighting makes it easier for my eyes to register the words, meaning I can read faster. That's not actually why I wanted to talk about Fan-Fiction, however... What's got me writing is the fact that, my boyfriend seems to think I'm a little bit obsessed with 'BoyxBoy' Fan-Fiction. Yup, you guessed it, yaoi. But, I don't actually read it for the graphic side of it, although, that in itself is a breath of fresh air, from your regular, boring novels. But no, I like reading them for the romance, and to look at individual writing styles. Obviously, the stories are written and submitted by normal people, all-over the world. They've had no experience with publishers, they just write because they enjoy doing it. There's no profits, it's simply for the love of writing. I like it when, you're able to see just how much effort a person has put in-to trying to create a good storyline. And after a while, you form emotional bonds with fictional characters. There are those you love, those you hate, and those that you want to bring back from the dead, in some cases. The stories may not be perfect, and in most cases, the grammar is far-from it, but I think that adds to the likeability of the story itself, in my opinion. At least they try, that's my take on it, anyway. Because, I know how hard it is to write a good Fan-fic. It takes time and effort, and energy that you never even knew you had. Your mind over-works itself with story ideas, twists and turns in the plot, etc. So I'd like to take a moment to applaud a few 'authors' that have caught my eye lately...

1. In first place, it has to be Amyscence. His story 'College Life', and the sequel 'One Last Chance' just captivated my heart. Forever and always, one of Giovanni Storm's sexy unicorns ;) ~
2. In second place, and it was hard to pick between two fantastic authors, but I've gone for PassionInFlames, simply because of the 'Jessie Star' saga. I loved those stories! Then there's 'Breaking Them Up' which is equally an amazing story!~ :O
3. In third, Poetically-Damaged. Whom created the 'There's a Jock in My Bed!' series. Of which, I am a very big fan. :D
4. In fourth, FluffyBunny. - An author that I've been a fan of for a very long time now because of her amazing and witty 'I Guess I'm Gay' Fan-fic!~
5. In fifth place is... SkeneKidz! :')
6. Sixth place goes to... ZayneMonster!
