W E L C O M E
Today, I'm going to be doing a post I said I would do forever ago...
The entire contents of my Sweet Lolita wardrobe! \(^o^)/
I had some free time the other day, so I decided to do my loli wardrobe~
And actually, it took a really, really long time T-T And it was really hot... T-T
But alas, it's done~ It's DONE~ All these months of saying 'I'll do a wardrobe post' are over~
So, to explain how this post is going to work...
I'm going to post each individual outfit and write a little bit about it and also where it's from~!
So, let's start~!
Co-ord #1 - Bodyline's Infanta 'Strawberry Sundae' replica *JSK*
Woaaaaah, super bright.... ToT |
Okay so, I'd like to start off and say - although I don't have a problem with replicas - I didn't know this was a replica until after I'd placed the order, because I actually purchased a Sugary Carnival replica from Qutieland (which never arrived) and on their site I found the original Infanta OP.
Although you cannot fully see the details on this JSK, due to bad lighting, this is actually one of my favourite pieces~ It's so pretty, and has loads of pastries and cookies and tasty snacks printed onto it~!
This is also the dress I wore to London for the MIYAVI concert back in March, so I'll post a photo from the concert so that you can see the detail on the dress better~
Although, in the co-ord above, it's paired with my short-sleeved blouse (which I think looks better~)
Here, you can see the details on the dress print a bit better~ It's a replica, but it was copied across really well actually, there aren't any printing faults at all, and despite not knowing this was a replica, I love it~
JSK: Bodyline
Short-sleeved Blouse: Bodyline
Long-sleeved Blouse: G.L.P (eBay indie-Lolita brand)
Socks: Bodyline (Not available anymore)
Twin-tail Lolita wig: eBay
Co-ord #2 - Bodyline's 'Chocoberry' Skirt
Chocoberry is one of Bodyline's most iconic pieces, and after realising that I hadn't purchased any skirts, I decided against buying the Chocoberry JSK and purchasing the skirt version instead. I'm actually so so sooooo glad I did, because it looks great with a blouse loosely over the top of it, as shown above.
I chose the purple colourway, because I found that the other colourways looked a little bit iffy. For example, the black colourway just looked awful, and the pink looked way too sickly. So, I went with a nice lilac shade~ And I'm really happy with the colour of it, because I have a lot of matching accessories~
Skirt: Bodyline
Short-sleeved blouse: Bodyline (Same as above)
Socks: Bodyline (No longer available)
Wig: eBay
Necklace: Candy Geisha
Co-ord #3 - Bodyline's 'Love Jewely' Skirt
Wahey~ Re-using wigs~ (You'll see this wig a LOT actually, it's my personal favourite~)
This time, I decided to go with straight bangs xD
I actually think this is a bit of a Mahou Shoujo co-ord, because of the oversized bow clipped onto the blouse which was originally from the skirt, but couldn't be worn with the blouse as it is~ So I improvised haha~
This skirt is really beautiful, the detail on it is incredible. I love it to pieces. And, I brought matching socks! Some Lolita are a little bit funny with Bodyline and don't recognize it as an official brand, but when they're producing pieces like this skirt and the matching socks, how can you not recognize it as a brand? *o*
Skirt: Bodyline
Short-sleeved blouse: Bodyline (Same as above)
Socks: Bodyline
Hairbow: LittleMizzKitty
Wig: eBay (Same as above)
Co-ord #4 - Bodyline's Red Heart-Applique Sweet Skirt
This skirt doesn't have a name, sadly... It's actually one of Bodyline's more basic pieces.
But, I don't have any red in my wardrobe, and I really loved the simplistic yet cute design, so I brought it in the red colourway and it's actually a really nice skirt. The material is really thick, and it's the perfect length on me. Despite only costing me £17, it's a really high-quality skirt and I'll get a lot of wear out of it in college. There's also a really weird story behind this wig as well, haha... My mum was getting hair extensions put in, so a local hairdresser came to our house to do it, and I happened to be in the other room. My mum told the hairdresser about how I wear a lot of wigs and everything, and suddenly she appeared with this wig and told me I could have it because it would look much better on me than her. *o* Freebies~!
This wig is actually so so so so soft. It feels just like human hair. (Maybe it is. owo that would be amazing)
Skirt: Bodyline
Short-sleeved blouse: Bodyline (Same as above)
Socks: Bodyline (Same as co-ords #1 + #2)
Wig: Offbrand - I was actually given this wig by a local hairdresser owo
Nekomimi: eBay
Co-ord #5 - Bodyline's Birthday Balloons JSK
This JSK doesn't actually have a name, either. But, within the Lolita community, it's referred to as 'Birthday Balloons' because it has balloons on it, obviously xD
I chose to get this JSK in the sax blue colourway, because pink was sold out T-T
But, I've actually become attached to the blue version, and I actually prefer it to the pink one now~
This is the type A version of this JSK, there's also a halterneck version with the same print, but I love the shape of a dual-strap JSK, so I knew from the start that I wanted the type A version~ It's too cute!
I've sadly not had a chance to wear this out of the house yet, because I've been attending a school with strict uniform, but now I'm moving on to college and having no uniform, so I'm going full Lolita~! Hurray~!
This JSK will most likely debut at the 2014 Balloon Fiesta which I'm attending as a VIP Guest next weekend~ So, if you're going to be there, keep a look out for me~ (I'll be there on the Saturday)
JSK: Bodyline
Short-sleeved blouse: Bodyline (Same as above)
Wig: Offbrand (Same as above)
Ring: ZombieUnicornJewelry
Bracelets: Candy Geisha, ZombieUnicornJewelry, LittleMizzKitty
Co-ord #6 - Dream of Lolita 'Happy Garden OP' Replica
This dress... It looks fine in photographs, but in reality it's the complete bane of my existence xD
I purchased this dress through the eBay seller 'JillPunkxLoli' and it's made by the brand Dream of Lolita. However, it's not very dreamy. Far from it. This dress is absolutely awful. And it's my second issue with the brand (with my Sugary Carnival replica never arriving after 7 months), so you can be expecting a not-very-positive post about Dream of Lolita soon. T-T (I'd like to say both issues were at no fault of the sellers)
I really love Happy Garden's design, but there's no way I could afford the actual thing, so I had to settle for a replica OP, which is actually my only Sweet OP. And, let me just say that whilst it looks okay here, in person the printing is a complete mess. On the top section of the dress, from the waist upwards, there's a printing fault with the main design from the bottom of the dress being used again, resulting in what looks like decapitated bunny heads. Not cute. Not cute at all. Far from it, in fact. Also, the material feels like it could be waterproof... It's so loud and crinkly.. e.e
OP: Dream of Lolita
Socks: Bodyline
Wig: eBay
Bracelets: ZombieUnicornJewelry, LittleMizzKitty
Stuffed Toy props: Arpakasso, Offbrand (boyfriend won it for me at the fair~)
This concludes my entire Sweet Lolita wardrobe~
Of course, I have other Lolita pieces, but here I was focusing entirely on Sweet.
I may make another post for my Gothic pieces some other time~ (Though I only have 2 pieces...)
I hope you enjoyed this post~ I tried to be as honest as I could about the quality of items...
I don't own any "brand", and some people may think that makes me 'not a real Lolita' but... eh...
I wear my pieces just as well as other girls wear their 'brand', I think~
Sorry this article has been mainly photo-based~ I promise next time I'll post some more reviews~
Also, you can look forward to my Dream of Lolita rant, haha~ I might even film it owo
And, next weekend I'm off to Balloon Fiesta, so I'll be writing a post about that once I get back ^w^
This has been Alisha, thank you for reading~
