La'Riche 'Directions' - 'Carnation Pink' & 'Flamingo Pink' Hair Dye Review~!

I N T R O D U C T I O N
Hello everyone~!
Today, I'm back again with another hair dye review for you all. \(^o^)/
I'll be using the same brand that I used for my blue hair, 'Directions' by La'Riche.
However, this time, I used 2 different dyes because I couldn't pick between the colours~!
The dyes I used this time are:

Carnation Pink

Flamingo Pink

As you can see, both a fairly similar, but I really couldn't choose and I thought maybe I'd mix both~!
I've always used La'Riche pretty much since I first started dyeing my hair, and I've had it pink before...
But, that was my first time having a 'weird' hair colour, so I used 'Manic Panic' which is SUPER expensive.
Now, I've learnt that La'Riche is actually cheaper AND it works better (in my experience).

R E V I E W

Originally, my hair wasn't supposed to be pink... I had been intending to have silver/grey hair...
I used La'Riche's silver dye, and this was the only time they've ever let me down, because it didn't work. T-T
My hair stayed blonde with a few streaks of silver, which looked completely awful.
Sooooo, luckily we had these two dyes left in the house (because my mum used them a while back)
And to cover the monstrosity I'd created, I decided to use them. Both of them.

I really love these semi-permanent dyes, because although they fade quickly, they don't damage your hair.
So, although you have to touch it up a lot, it won't ever dry your hair out, etc.
This is a big thing for me because I was blessed with veeeery soft hair, even after bleaching and dyeing
So it's nice to slap a load of hair dye on my head without having to worry about it frazzling my hair for once~
In fact, La'Riche dyes actually have a conditioning agent in them to help keep your hair super duper soft!
Because they're made from vegetable extracts rather than chemicals, they're in no way permanent...
In fact, some people have had experiences of the entire thing washing out after 1 or 2 washes... oWo
I've never experienced anything like this, I usually touch up my colour once a week~
(Although I dilute my dyes with conditioner because I like having pastel hair \(^o^)/)

Now, I'll show you what my hair looked like after I first dyed it pink...

I actually left the bottom kinda blonde-ish, because I wanted a reverse-gradient effect~
This was using diluted dyes, I used a white coloured conditioner with no harsh chemicals.
(I don't have this anymore, as this was around a month ago and I've since dyed it a LOT)
This was a combination of half-Carnation, half-Flamingo, and it came out that colour~~~
At the time of these photos, I'd only just had my Hime-bangs cut in with the shorter side sections...
My hair's overgrown now T-T I miss how it looked here haha~

Next, I'll show you how it looked after dyeing it a second time.
This time, I didn't dilute the dyes at all, I just mixed them together and put them on~

I actually didn't like the colour of this, it went orange in places which I didn't like at all...
Also, it was veeery bright, whereas I like my hair to be pastel.
So, I was really happy when this faded out..

I'll actually show you what this looked like once it faded now~

It looked so nice~ After getting this effect, I didn't regret using un-diluted dyes~
But, it wasn't long before I dyed it again~~~~~~~~~~
This time, I only used Carnation Pink (and I have been doing so ever since)
I diluted it with conditioner, which I also find makes it last longer, so that's some Alisha Advice~!

This is a colour I'm happy with the most, so for a really nice shade of pastel pink, I recommend:
1/3 Carnation Pink hair dye and 2/3 White conditioner~ (I use Tresemme because it's so high quality)
(Excuse my bangs, though... They're getting WAAAAAY too long xD)

C O N C L U S I O N

My experience in using both of these dyes has been completely positive. I really love Carnation Pink!
It's nice because, compared to Flamingo Pink, it's more red-toned which means it looks nice when pastel
Whereas I found that Flamingo Pink looked a little bit awkward when I made it pastel coloured... ToT

These dyes cost around £5 a pot, and they come in 88ml~ It's not that much for the price, but...
If you dilute it like I do to get the pastel effect, one pot should last 2 or maybe even 3 weeks!
So really, £10 a month isn't too bad for such a nice dye, and it doesn't damage your hair at all.

Having pink hair is so great, because outfits that were a little bit boring before are suddenly cute and fun~
Also, I can tie them up in little buns and they look super cute and interesting \(^o^\)
I think pink hair suits just about everyone and anyone if I'm honest, so I recommend these two dyes~!
Flamingo is great if you want bold, brightly coloured pink hair like a highlighter.
And Carnation is great if you want a really pretty pastel shade. Even if you don't dilute, it's not too bright~
I will continue to trust La'Riche 'Directions' with my hair colours, even when I decide to change colours~~
(I'm actually thinking about blue again next uwu)
I really think these dyes are great value for money, and especially compared to dyes such as Manic Panic
They're very expensive dyes and from my own experience, La'Riche is actually much better~ ;o

A F T E R W O R D

This has been Alisha~ I know it's been a month since my last post, and I'm very very sorry. T^T
Due to computer problems, I've had almost zero access to my blog...
Today has been my first opportunity to write a blog post, because I managed to get the home PC running...
(Even now, it's soooooo slow!)
I'll be writing more posts today, whilst I have the chance.
I'll also be writing an announcement post about where you can expect to meet me in person in the UK~!
Also, I've been thinking about travelling to Sweden for the next Alcon~!
Because there are so many people I seriously want to meet. I feel I'd be made very welcome in Sweden,
and I have friends I want to meet~~~~~~~
I'll be speaking about that more in-detail at a later date once I've finalized my decision~
I've also postponed my Japan holiday, I'll no longer be going in 2016, and there'll be a post to explain why.
